1. Jeandré was released from ICU on 14 August 2008. He is doing so well that he might be released in the next few days! Dr Pribut is so positive. He said Jeandré may be treated as a normal baby until his next operation. This will probably be November. Dr also said Rouché will be able to carry on normally with work! 2. Donations. Thank you to everyone who wanted to get involved and do something. Unfortunately donations are only possible if you are a registered non profit organization in South Africa. That is why the payment link was stopped but we will post updates here and on Facebook if the situation changes. 3. Derick is willing to visit churches and groups to share. He is a pastor and leads praise and worship. You are welcome to contact him as soon as they settle in at home. 4. Correction: Dr Vosloo didn't in fact cancel her "holiday", but her "going away plans". |

It is not easy to answer the questions regarding budget. Costs are hard to determine ...
- there are specialist fees that the hospital plan doesn't cover,
- check ups afterwards can only be done by specialists,
- medicine and aftercare costs
- not to even mention the next 2 operations - the first which might be as early as middle October.
- Cardiac children also have a tendency to easily pick up sickness, especially pneumonia.
So it's still a long unchartered road ahead! Thanks for all the prayers! If you want to get involved:- Contact us via FaceBook
- or use the fax number (available in Contact Us or on the FaceBook group page)

A trust is being set up for Jeandré by Cluver & Makotter from Stellenbosch. This will take several weeks. In the mean while the savings account will do.
The Trust stipulates that all proceeds will go to City Park Cardiac Fund should anything happen to baby. We believe all will be well though! Please keep us in your prayers. |
